Eligibility Criteria
The admission into any of the above-mentioned courses will be granted only if the applicant possesses the below-mentioned eligibility criteria and qualify the entrance exam. However, the interested candidate also has to fill up the application form to attend the entrance exam. Aspirants must be aware of the eligibility criteria before going to apply for IIMC Entrance Exam 2018. To know the eligibility criteria, refer to the table given below:-

The candidate must be born on 1st August 1993 or later (for SCs/STs/PH is 1st August 1988 or later and for OBC 1st August 1990 or later).

Academic Qualification
  • Candidate must obtain Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • Those who have appeared/are appearing in final degree examinations this year (2018) are also eligible to apply provided, final year marksheet/ provisional certificate would have to deposited by 31st August 2018.

Application form
The students who are willing to appear for IIMC Entrance Exam 2018, they can apply in both online and offline mode according to their suitability. The dates for the release of application form has not been released yet. However, the information regarding both the process is provided below:
For offline Application process: Application forms and prospectus can be obtained in person or by post on payment of Rs. 1200/- for general category and Rs. 1100/- for SC/ST/OBC/PH category through a demand draft only, drawn on any scheduled bank payable to Registrar IIMC at New Delhi, from IIMC New Delhi or IIMC Dhenkanal (Odisha). Request for application forms should be accompanied by a Demand Draft & a self-addressed stamped (Rs. 70/-) envelope (27x17 cm).

For online Application process: Candidates can either fill the application form online and also pay the fee online via debit card/ credit card or net banking or download the application form, fill it and send by post along with the Demand Draft for the application fee to the address as indicated below. Each application form must be accompanied by a Demand Draft of Rs. 1200/- for General & Rs.1100/- for SC/ST/OBC/ Physically Handicapped categories and drawn in favour of IIMC New Delhi on or before the last date.

NOTE: The issue of application forms have commenced at IIMC New Delhi and IIMC Dhenkanal. The candidates can submit one Application Form for either Journalism (Hindi) or Journalism (English) as the written entrance examination and question paper will be common for above courses. Similarly, The candidates can submit one Application Form for either Journalism (Urdu)/Journalism (Odia)/Journalism (Marathi)/Journalism (Malayalam). The written entrance examination for above courses will be conducted simultaneously. For each course, there is a separate form. The candidates should check before filling the form that it is for the course for which they want to apply.

Candidates are advised to be well acquainted with Indian Institute of Mass Communication Entrance Exam (IIMCEE) 2018 exam pattern in order to make the preparation more effective. Exam pattern gives the candidate an idea about the mode of exam, duration, subjects and marking scheme. Syllabus for IIMC Entrance Exam 2018
IIMC exam is held at an All-India level. There is no set pattern for IIMC Entrance Exam, however, aspirants appearing for Journalism course admissions will be judged on the below mentioned parameters:

IIMC Admit Card/ Hall Ticket 2018
Once candidates successfully applied for IIMC Entrance Exam 2018, they can avail their Hall Ticket in online mode by visiting the official website of IIMC. The registered candidates can access the hall ticket by entering the name, registration number and date of birth. Admit card contains the exam centre details, important guidelines and other details. Result
IIMC Entrance Exam 2018 result will be declared tentatively in the 2nd week of June 2018 in the online mode on its official website. The candidates who appeared in the test can access the result by entering the registration number, name and date of birth. The result or scorecard contains the mark obtained in the entrance test. Based on the marks obtained by the applicants in the test, the official authority determines the cut-offs and prepares a merit list.

Selection process
Aspirants who qualify the IIMC Entrance Exam 2018 need to appear for the final round of group discussion/interview round. Candidates are shortlisted for admissions on the basis of their performance in the written test as well as the interview/group discussion round. The weightage for the written examination and the interview/group discussion round is 85:15. At last, a final merit list is prepared and admission is granted only to the shortlisted candidates.
